Miracles
In Miracles, we make our way through some of the miracles of Jesus and hear testimonies from people in our church family who have experienced a miracle, are waiting for their miracle to happen, or have had God say no or not yet. Our hope is that our miracle-working God would stretch your faith like it’s never been stretched before. That He would fill you with hope that you’ve never had before. That regardless of what He does or does not do, that you would trust Him more than you’ve ever trusted Him before.

In this culture, running out of wine at a wedding would surely lead to public ridicule of the bride and groom and while the miracle was a public sign, Jesus was pointing to a much deeper truth – when He would become poured out wine for us. This whole story points to the ultimate wedding ceremony that is coming one day. It will be the ceremony of ceremonies, the union of unions, the wedding of weddings…and what a joy it will be!

What we learn through Pastor Rob’s sermon is that sometimes God’s no to something we desperately want means a yes to what we desperately need. What happens to many of us is we get comfortable in our infirmities and we don’t actually want to put in the effort that would be required to get better – oftentimes the pain of recovery is worse than the pain of the thing that put us in the situation we’re making excuses about and blaming other people for. For some, we need to make the effort of “taking up our mat and walking” and for others, God may not change your circumstance, but wants to change you in the midst of it!
